I can almost tell when it's going to not load correctly, since usually when it loads correctly, I see a tiny thin horizontal streak across the screen flash for half a second and then the LOGO appears and the tiny icons start flashing or rotating.
For example: my username, password is missing and etc. I then go into the Network Config and everything is set to default. So when this issue happens, I see no OPL logo startup, nor the small png icons flashing.
it almost feels like when you run OPL for the first time before having any settings saved for it. BTW, I have ETH Games as my default start up page. OPL simply skips the start up logo and I am sent to the Menu Settings list. The issue is that I get no error message.
There's nothing much that can be done, other than trying to find the problem and to backport/customize the related patch for LWIP, or even write a new (original) patch. But it is a well-established fact by now, that the in-game SMSTCPIP module has problems due to it being based on an ancient version of LWIP. If it is a stability problem with the in-game network support, nothing was changed recently. Don't wait for me because I am not supposed to (and do not want to) be be the only developer working on this.īut you have to be clear on whether it is a in-game thing or if it only applies to the UI. If there are problems, people ought to get to know about them. Regarding the problem with SMB support: just create a new issue and describe it there. It's a more subtle problem because it causes no visible errors nor damage to the filesystem. So without the fix, some things like the USBExtreme game list on USB devices cannot be updated properly. And also pinpoint on what commit this issue started with.įor this particular piece of software, you should because of the bug that was found in USBHDFSD, which prevents files from being truncated (overwritten when they exist). I just need to make sure that the situation is not only on my side - hate to give you a false report. I will later give you a proper report on that situation. Nov., and I've seen it reoccur more now with the recent changes. I really appreciate your hard work! Really awesome work!Īnother thing, at a later time, when things calm down a bit (with your new changes), I'd like to inform you about an issue that I've been experiencing lately with SMB, I think the issue started around Oct.
I did update PS2SDK during your pull request #170 (about 4 days ago) - when you indicated there that we should upgrade PS2SDK for these new changes to take affect.īTW, thank you so much for all these new and cool fixes and changes. Question: I noticed that you've been also updating PS2SDK with a few new commits, do you suggest for us to update that as well, or at those changes for something else not related to these new changes to OPL. You can get that error with almost any ELF file you try to load from the APPS page.
